Beginner riding lessons at Jomar farms includes 45 minutes - 1 hour of one on one time with the student, teaching horse safety, grooming, tacking up, and riding. 

During the summer months it is best to ride between 8-11 am and 6-9 pm due to the heat. 

Students should wear a boot or a shoe with a heel, and a helmet. Helmets are provided if student does not have their own.

About JoMar Farms

JoMar farms is a multi-phase facility located in Midlothian, Texas. Midlothian is located 25 miles south of Dallas and is an easy drive from Dallas, Fort Worth, Mansfield, Cleburne, Waxahacie, Ovilla, Cedar Hill, and surrounding areas. 

JMF has two phases, both on 13 acres, and within walking distance from one another. The owner lives at phase one and the manager lives at phase two.

JMF is a full care boarding facility offering: 

  • Interior stall or stall with a run (12X12) with daily turnout. 525 / month

  • Individual paddock 450 / month

  • Group pasture 400 / month 

JMF includes:

  • Crossties

  • Wash racks

  • Lighted arena

  • Dressage arena

  • Round pen

  • Tack lockers

  • Bathroom

  • Kitchen

JMF offers: riding lessons for beginners, hunters, dressage, jumping, and eventing, and is home to the Texas Dark Side Eventing team. We have different instructors, including Lynda Lewis, USEA ICP certified instructor, who travels in to teach our more advanced riders.
