The two owners of JP’s Grill share an affection for ‘60s rock ‘n’ roll, good old fashioned cooking, and food served in baskets. Their menu—their entire restaurant, even—exists as a sort of nostalgic riff on diners of yesteryear. They play chart-topping hits from the ‘50s and ‘60s, while the chef whips up Creekstone angus beef and brisket-blend burgers, Nathan’s famous hot dogs, hand-cut fries, and freshly battered onion rings. They scatter a few unorthodox gems throughout their menu as well, such as the pastrami burger, a melty combination of Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, and an Angus patty topped with slices of pastrami.
The joint maintains a family friendly vibe, with a dedicated arcade room that keeps little ones from boredom while they wait on their food or for their parents to wake up from their tableside naps. They provide similar distractions for adults, in the form of four flat screen televisions scattered throughout the diner.
