It was philosopher Friedrich Nietzche who said, "Out of chaos comes order" and "Out of ordering comes yummy cheese pizza." Create organized art from splintered pieces with today's Groupon: for $150, you get six mosaic classes (a $429 value) at J&S Mosaics on Cahuenga Boulevard.
With more than 20 years of stained glass mosaic experience, Joseph Cohan skillfully guides budding artists in the composition of dynamic mosaics. Learn the step-by-step process of mosaic art during the course of six classes, assembling a medley of beautifully stained glass pieces to create a unique pattern, picture, or fuel-efficient birdbath. Each class lasts two hours, with classes held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting at 6 p.m. Dexterous designers will begin the project in the first class and continue working on the project until completion in the final class. In addition, aspiring artisans may bring an apprentice or wise-cracking sidekick for an additional fee to help assemble the shared project ($40 in cash, paid on arrival).
