Scientists agree that children are our future, which is why most children are sealed in time capsules with a flashlight and a stack of magazines. Give a child something he or she will really dig with today's Groupon: for $7, you get two all-day passes to Jumpfit Kids in Henderson (a $14 value). These passes include one open play or one fitness class apiece and may be redeemed between two children in a single visit or by one child in two visits. A parent or guardian must be present while children are playing.
The playful staff at Jumpfit Kids helps children ages 1–12 to increase their fitness and fun capacity by harboring a stable of pint-size fitness equipment and hosting classes with creative exercises. Anchoring the pleasantly temperate, 3,000-square-foot facility are colorful bouncy balls, hula-hoops, and two indoor jumpers, which tots spring through to a Twister game, where they can earn their limb-tying badges. The Jumpdance class guides little limbs in aerial-dance techniques aimed at improving coordination and multitasking (ages 6–8), and the art class flexes kids' brain-biceps through drawing, painting, and sculpting life-size statues of imaginary friends (all ages). During the Bouncing Babies class, infants indulge in simple massages and stretches as they learn the finer points of mastering motor skills. Peruse Jumpfit Kids' calendar to find a class that best suits your schedule.
Inspired by Michelle Obama’s Let's Move! initiative, Lily Sirsy set out to do her part to fight childhood obesity and promote lifetimes of healthy habits. Her passion resulted in Jumpfit Kids, a safe, colorful space for Nevada families to play, exercise, and create. Amid the 3,000-square-foot play gym, tots can defy gravity in one of two indoor bounce houses, tell tall tales with puppet theater, or expand their palates and built-in water wings in a variety of art, cooking, and exercise classes. Junior-size cardio equipment in bright primary colors fills the kids' fitness center, encouraging whippersnappers to work up a sweat or produce enough electricity to power a gingerbread house.
