What You'll Get
Teaching children to kayak gives them another way to exercise and the ability to finally get past the moats that surround all of the best ice cream parlors. Encourage aquatic exploration with this Groupon.
$37 for a One-Day Children's School's Out Paddle Camp from March 25–29 ($75 Value)
Led by experienced guides, participants embark on daily trips aboard kayaks or standup paddleboards. Mornings begin with a water-safety briefing and a staff paddling demonstration. After they've had enough practice, paddlers can head on excursions through Jupiter Inlet Aquatic Preserve, snorkeling and manatee watching on the Indian River, discovering marine life at Sawfish Bay, and playing frisbee on a sandbar on the Loxahatchee River.
During extended camp sessions, staffers can supervise further on-water time or lead activities on land. Children may edit videos of the day's activities, play games, or tour the center's educational exhibits and touch tank. Participants should bring their own snorkels and fishing equipment. Each daily session runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., though parents can begin pick-up as early as 2 p.m.

Group tours take paddlers out to explore local waterways as guides expound on local history. On the Mangroves and Manatees Paddle Tour, guests traverse the calm waters of the mangrove estuaries and boundary waters surrounding Fort Pierce Inlet State Park as they keep their eyes open for local wildlife. While the animals will vary, it's common to see a variety of seabirds along with aquatic life like manatees or even a pod of dolphins.
