K1 Speed in Carlsbad hosts the West Coast’s longest single track, which snakes and stretches across more than a third of a mile. Streak around twelve turns, and sprint at speeds approaching 45 mph in your electric kart, fully equipped with a 20-horsepower motor. By hosting green-friendly vehicles and still maintaining competitive conditions, the racetrack at K1 Speed has both more curves and fewer fumes than an entire semester of organic chemistry.

K1 Speed uses an advanced scoring system to rank your time against all other K1 Speed demons past and present. Points are rewarded various achievements—races won, opponents defeated, fastest laps, etc.—and all scores and rankings are posted online, ready to print out and fold into tiny origami cranes of bragging charm.
