About K12 Inc

K12 has taken the traditional schooling system and made some key improvements. For one, there are no walls at the school. Lessons take place online—with a safe, password-protected website that has no ads or pop-ups—enabling students to access them from anywhere in the country. Additionally, the school has a roster of one. When a student enrolls in K12, he or she becomes the focus of an individualized learning program, which relies on daily lesson plans, interactive activities, and attentive teachers.

Parents aren't cut out of the equation, though. They become their child's learning coach, working with the teacher to guide them through different curricula in grades K through 8. High school students, meanwhile, take different subjects with several specialized instructors, all while cultivating more independence.

Every grade's programming abides by lofty, state-approved standards for education. And because it allows for student mobility, K12 caters to military families, homeschooling families, and families who built their houses atop a moving train.
