I’ve used the Groupon deal during lunch 4-5 times already. I came in today during lunch. At first I asked for a booth, but the waiter didn’t come until about 15 mins later. By then, we had already made our minds up to sit at the table in front of the cook. We only had a party of 2 and we were told to wait 5 minutes. We did, and saw about 7 people who arrived after us go ahead of us to be seated. We then were seated at a table where it was only us, and was told it’d be about 15 mins to see if any other people come before we can start our order. Unfortunately, it was about 30 mins until we even got to order and a cook to come. The cook was amazing and very well mannered. We ordered two chicken meals for lunch time, considering it was about 1:00 when we finally ate. The lunch menu ends at 2 which we knew. When someone came over to show our receipts, I explained I had the Groupon. In the past I’ve never paid more than $12 total. After I showed the voucher and still paid $11 on my phone, the receipt totaled to $28 (WITH the Groupon $20 off) for lunch! They wanted me to pay the $11 plus the $28. The only extra thing I got was a $3 drink. I told the manager I am not paying this and that I should only be paying $3 extra. (Really should’ve been nothing for the inconvenience) but the people there today were so rude and inconsiderate. When a manager came over, he claimed I had ordered two chicken dinners (which never came out of my mouth) and why would anyone go during lunch time to get the dinner price? They sound ridiculous. I ended up leaving giving them a $5 bill for the drink. Normally I’d rate this place a 5 star (after the 10 plus times I’ve been and never had a bad experience) but they gave me a headache over nothing.

Groupon coupon was easy to use, our food was delicious and we had plenty of left overs. I’ll come back here again.

About Kabuki Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

A traditional Japanese art form, kabuki theater involves elaborate displays of song and dance. Living up to this tradition, Kabuki Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar puts on a show every day during lunch and dinner with an unlikely cast. Atop tableside grills, meats sizzle in song; flames dance into the air; and knives refuse to perform unless their name is first on the marquee. Hibachi chefs direct all of this action, and their skilled hands slice and cook meat entrees that range from sesame chicken to lobster to rib-eye steak. Complementing the grilled cuisine, sushi chefs prepare classic california rolls and specialty rolls such as the Krazy: avocado, crab, and cream cheese bundled beneath a cap of lobster salad.
