Ghosts usually linger on Earth because of an unfinished task, such as bidding farewell to a loved one or throwing away the carton of Chinese food they left in the fridge. Search for procrastinating specters with today's Groupon: for $20, you get one admission to a two-hour Full Moon Ghost Hunt (a $40 value) through Full Moon Productions' Chambers of Edgar Allan Poe haunted house.

Continuing the survey launched by the Discovery Channel's Ghost Lab investigators, Full Moon Productions leads guests through weekend treks of its storied, spooky building in search of phantoms and other paranormal phenomena. Pairs of ghost-hunting gumshoes are equipped with digital audio recorders to capture eerie anomalies such as electronic voice phenomena (EVPs) and coffins that emit passionate saxophone solos when opened. To corroborate any oddities and dismiss skeptics' explanation of a rogue ham-radio operator, a K-II EMF meter searches for spikes of electromagnetic energy while an infrared thermometer measures sudden changes in temperature. At the end of the hunt, participants receive a CD of their findings, including full-spectrum digital pictures that have been tragically ruined by phantom photobombs.
