How Groupon Works

Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Ottawa: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theatre, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power." If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (25 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupon or redeem it with one of our mobile apps. Use it whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in 180 days. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!

Today's Deal

KARARA offers a massive menu of fresh fare, made with traditional cooking methods by chefs imported directly from India via bobsled. As a result, KARARA’s supperfare spans a range of fresh and smoky Subcontinental flavours. Herbivoyeurs watching you dine from outside the eatery’s windows will salivate over the eatery’s more than 15 vegetarian entrees, and lamb-lovers will delight in the broiled lamb chop lajawab, cooked with fresh onion masala ($14.95). Tender tandoori, such as the chicken tikka ($12.95) offer a rich taste of timeless Indian fare, as do the coastal fish curry ($13.25) and the flavour-filled vindaloo beef ($13.95).

The quaint eatery boasts a thriving take-out and delivery business, and as such, your Groupon can also be used for a pick-up order or free delivery (with an order of $25 or more and within an eight kilometre radius). So summon an authentic Indian supper to your doorstep, or gift this Groupon to a hungry hermit for a fresh meal.
