What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I have had a camera around my neck for over two decades! My passion to create beautiful imagery has always been with me. It brings me pure joy to capture moments that cannot be repeated. I love working with people! We have fun together while creating heirloom quality images that will mean more to families as time passes. What makes my imagery different is that I envision the mood and final picture before I click the shutter. I "see" light, foreground, background and expression. I get to know my families and what they want to get out of their session. My artistry continues with my post production, artistic retouching and graphics skills that often make my images look more like paintings than photographs. I have my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Syracuse University. I cannot imagine doing any other line of work
What do you love most about your job? It is a tie between the fun I have working with families and pets and the reaction I get when I reveal the final retouched product! When the tears start to flow (as they do more often than not...) I know I did my job well. I would photograph even if I wasn't compensated for it because my drive to create beautiful portraiture is simply part of me
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? "You are the photo fairy!"
