Under the guidance of Dancing with the Stars veteran Karina Smirnoff, Karina Smirnoff Dance Studio’s instructors fleeten feet with private lessons and a schedule of group classes, earning mention from Us Weekly magazine and Good Day LA. Students meet with studio managers or dance consultants to learn about the studio’s instruction style and dance philosophy. They can then discuss their goals for the lessons, whether it’s to prepare for a wedding or abolish their small town’s archaic laws that ban dancing. In private lessons, students whirl across studio floors on the arms of experienced instructors, who tailor lessons to students’ needs and skill levels.
After brushing up on their skills in private lessons, students attend group classes in the style of their choice. Dancers can grab an outstretched hand to bounce through the Brazilian samba and whirl along with majestic waltzes or eschew partners and fight the longstanding hypothesis that it takes two to tango. Mirrors line two walls of the huge, modern studio to endlessly reflect couples swinging and spinning across hardwood floors.
