$99 for Five 60-Minute Private Horseback-Riding Lessons ($250 Value)

Students receive an introduction to the methods of Natural Horsemanship, which includes lessons in communication in order to establish a strong partnership between human and horse. Students will ride one of Katy Nichoalds Horsemanship's horses.

Katy Nichoalds Horsemanship

A former Parelli Natural Horsemanship Professional, Katy Nichoalds teaches students to strengthen bonds with their horses by building trust and communicating through non-verbal cues. Lessons begin with the student remaining on the ground, ensuring the horse knows who’s giving instruction and that it is paying attention instead of daydreaming about the prom. Once they establish their connection, students can scale their steed, where they may experiment with riding without the reins and communicating with the horse through contact. By learning to read the horse’s body language, students can engage it in silent conversation as they work through obstacles that could include crossing rivers or solving the Saturday crossword puzzle. To round out the Natural Horsemanship curriculum, Katy also sheds light on equine subjects such as horse health and proper grooming.

Katy Nichoalds Horsemanship

A former Parelli Natural Horsemanship Professional, Katy Nichoalds teaches students to bond with their horses by building trust and communicating through non-verbal cues. Students remain on the ground at the beginning of their lessons, which lets the horse know who's giving instruction and forces it to pay attention rather than daydream about starring in the Seabiscuit sequel. Once a connection is established, students can experiment with riding without the reins and communicating with the horse through physical contact. By learning to read the horse’s body language, students can engage it in silent conversation as they work through obstacles that may include traversing trails and, eventually, jumping over fences. To round out the Natural Horsemanship curriculum, Katy also sheds light on equine subjects such as proper grooming, which extends from brushing the horse's mane to selecting the best hoof polish.

I purchased 3 of these Groupons for our grandchildren. My daughter is really impressed with Katy's concern for the girls and her dedication working with each one. I would love to purchase them again.
