Q:

Can you explain the difference between going to an intro class and signing up for the 4-class intro series - why would someone take the series over a singular class? Would 4 of the 5 groupon classes count towards the 4-class intro series? Also, will more single intro classes be added into the schedule? Right now the Friday morning time is not convenient for people who work.

Kate W.  asked on  Apr 27, 2012

A:

All students should start with a single Intro to Aerial or Restorative Aerial Class. The 4-class series is a progressive class, and may not be joined after the first class. Intro classes are available Tuesday mornings 8-9, Friday 5:30-6:30 PM. Restorative Aerial is offered Sunday morning at 10 am. Additional classes will be added to the schedule as demand increases. Please let me know if none of the Intro or Restorative classes work for you. Thank you!

Q:

I would like to make a reservation for Tues May 1 at 8am but there's nowhere to indicate that I have purchased it through Groupon

phyllis S.  asked on  Apr 26, 2012

A:

Online reservations will be possible only after you have redeemed your groupon at the studio. For your first class, please call to make an unpaid reservation 215-550-5344. First class should be an Intro to Aerial or Restorative Aerial class if you have never taken aerial yoga before.

Q:

is this part of the "lithe method" ? thank you

helen b.  asked on  Apr 25, 2012

A:

No, this is unrelated to the "lithe method". Our instructors teach VaihAyasa Aerial Yoga, which is foremost yoga. Our classes are breath-based, and use a lot of the same principles of resistance & support that Lithe Method does, but our classes flow as a regular yoga class would (with breathwork, stretching/strengthening, and ending with savasana rest pose cocooned in the hammock). Our equipment consists of a hammock using Aerial Silks, rather than from resistant bands. The hammock may be used to support part or full body weight. They may be used for stretching or lengthening, or for strengthening and sculpting.
