Helpful Information for Your Visit:

What should I bring? Please bring floaties or lifejackets for children, grilling supplies (charcoal, lighter fluid, utensils), food, and beverages. No glass containers are allowed on the property.

Can I bring alcohol? Yes! As private property, alcohol consumption is allowed. However, glass containers are prohibited, and please note that the nearby public park does not allow alcohol.

Are watercraft available to rent? Yes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available for $10 per hour. Just check in with our staff upon arrival.

Can I bring my pet? Absolutely! Friendly pets are welcome. Be sure to bring a leash and a water bowl to keep your furry friend comfortable.

About Kayak Instruction

In 1994, Kayak Instruction was opened by a professional competitor, Ben Kvanli. It started off as a non-profit organization that focussed on creating river adventures for all ages and abilities. Their objective was to become the top instructional center for kayaking, paralympic canoe/kayak, and Wounded Warrior Adventure Therapy. It has since grown and close to 50,000 kayakers have been trained for the opportunity to compete on the US National Team every year.
