What You'll Get
Chocolate and coffee share many similarities: both start out as beans, both make a tasty after-dinner treat, and both taste best guzzled from an "I Hate Mondays" mug. Gulp your way to gastronomic glee with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of handmade chocolates, coffee, and more at K.C. Lynn's Chocolates, Coffees & Confections, located in Moore.
K.C. Lynn's is owned by Moore native Ken Spence, who fills cacao- and caffeine-fueled tummy tanks with handcrafted candies and fresh-roasted coffee drinks. Step up to the chocolate case to ogle hand-rolled truffles made with quality imported chocolate and available in flavors such as raspberry, turtle caramel, and peanut butter ($2). Or send a sweet tooth swooning by locking lips around white-chocolate pumpkin-pie bonbons ($1), hand-dipped chocolate strawberries ($1.50), or crunchy vanilla-macadamia-nut brittle ($1 per oz.). Those morally opposed to chewing can melt under the indulgent influence of a cup of hot cocoa ($2.75) or mellow over a smooth percolated potation such as a latte ($3.25) or white mocha ($3.50) prepared using small batches of freshly roasted coffee beans. Guests already overstimulated from debates about how the dinosaurs went extinct, or those who just don't like coffee, can opt to cool tempers with a refreshing iced tea ($1.50) or a fresh-fruit smoothie made with low-fat, probiotic-rich yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas ($3.75).
Located across the street from Moore High School, K.C. Lynn's is a proud sponsor of the school's art department and features student artwork in its welcoming storefront. Stop in for a quick bite after the game or come by beforehand to stock up on enough rich morsels to lure the opposing team into sweet submission.
- I visited KC Lynn's in June of 2010 just after they opened and it was amazing. The brittles are made with a twist, like a little spicey [sic] heat kick to some of them, some are more like pulled sugar and all wonderful. – Diana, Urbanspoon
- Stopped early on a Saturday morning. Ken was very nice to visit with and very informative about each of the products. I got a 4 sampler pack of truffles. They were each delicious with out being overly sweet or rich. – Lolabelle, Urbanspoon
