It seems like the only things being photographed these days are celebrities, paparazzi taking pictures of celebrities, and paparazzi paparazzi taking pictures of other paparazzi. Reclaim your spot in the camera lens with today’s deal: for $29, you get a 30-pose in-studio session ($60) and 11x14 print ($75) of your favorite shot, a total value of $135, at Keepsake Photography, a studio in Mt. Lookout Square.
Keepsake is owned and operated by photographer Kim Rice. She’s had a passion for the craft of film and lenses (“soul-napping” in some circles) since high school; in 1988, she opened her studio and has been clicking away ever since. Kim specializes in portraiture for families, children, couples, pets, and more. Even when not commemorating a major milestone in life (getting engaged, getting pregnant, graduating high school, placing in the regional knitting finals), a professional headshot can further the careers of actresses, authors, musicians, clowns, dancers, comedians, spontaneous combustionists, and other performers. There are plenty of reasons to say cheese, and Kim will tailor each session accordingly. After taking 30 shots of you in all manner of poses, she’ll go through each frame and help select the best of the bunch to be made into an 11x14 print.
Keepsake is also home to two unexpected residents: Oscar the chatty parrot, who allows customers to literally watch the birdie, and Houdini the cat. Oscar has been with Kim since 1993, when parrots were first invented to entertain restless children; Houdini, rescued from the mean Cincinnati streets by Kim herself, has been catting about the studio since 2001. Luckily the two pets get on amicably, without any Acme-brand battles interrupting the day. The animals turn the studio from a cold, mechanical face factory into a warm, homey environment for portrait sitting. Call ahead to schedule your session at Keepsake Photography.

Keepsake Photography Studio
Kim Rice's love of photography stretches all the way back to high school. From there, she went on to get a photography degree, and in 1988 she founded Keepsake Photography Studio. Her passion for the art stays strong to this day, as she continues to capture snapshots of families, high-school seniors, pets, and loving couples within her studio's homey confines. Ms. Rice isn't the only friendly face visitors find at Keepsake Photography Studio, however. Pet sidekicks Oscar the parrot and Houdini the cat also greet clients, and they both know the secrets to striking a compelling pose.
