Kegs and Corks Festival - Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds, Crownsville, MD: $30 for Kegs and Corks Festival for Two on Saturday, August 23 (Up to $70 Value)

The Deal

  • $30 for single-day admission, beer and wine samples, and souvenir glasses for two (up to $70 value)

From noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 23 beer and wine drinkers will descend on Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds for the third-annual Kegs and Corks Fest, a bacchanal celebrating the best brewers and winemakers of the Eastern Seaboard and beyond. During the rain-or-shine event, revelers wash down bites of fresh local seafood with samples of featured beer and wine from breweries such as Heavy Seas and wineries such as Cove Point Winery and St. Michaels Winery. The accompanying entertainment includes live performances by bluesman Tom Larsen, the country band The Roadhouse Clams, and The Uncle Jack Band, a funk and disco group.

Kegs and Corks Fest

Kegs and Corks Fest unites connoisseurs in a celebration of craft brews and wine. The festival’s beer comes from alehouses across the country, ranging from Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewing Company, which makes a near-perfect pilsner, to Kansas City’s Boulevard Brewing Co., whose brewer talked to the Groupon Guide about its bestseller, made with Missouri-grown wheat.

As they roam the grounds, festival-goers can also sip samples of wine culled from Maryland vineyards, such as Fiore Winery, Boordy Vineyards, and Great Frogs Winery. Patrons can stop by a pairing booth for eats, such as cheese, oyster shooters, or chocolate, before they snap their fingers or repeatedly hug their neighbor to the beat of the fest’s live musicians.
