Q:

We have a 501c3 non-profit group in Akron that helps teens and young adults with substance abuse and other family issues. Will you work with us on a family pass(s)? Thanks, Raynard www.thepackardinstitute.com

A:

Raynard, I guess to answer your question the est that I can I would need more details. Please send us an email to info@kendallcliffs.com Attn:Kristen so we can work with you. Just send me a brief idea of what you are trying to do, are you looking to come in once? Bring new kids in several times or the same kids in several times? How many people. etc. We have worked with the Cleveland group PEP before so I'm not sure if this is similar or not. Hopefully this way we can gear you in the right direction. -Kristen

Q:

Is the class mandatory to take? My husband and son have had experience in climbing and would not really need the class. I know it is all part of the package price, and feel it would still be a good deal if they did not take them.

Julie V.  asked on  Feb 5, 2013

A:

If they are not certified in our gym they will need to take the class or at least pass the belay certification test. Once one of those two options are done they will receive the passes.

Q:

Is this a single class introductory class that must be completed? If so, how long is the class? If not, how many sessions for the introduction and time length? thanks!

Lynn W.  asked on  Feb 2, 2013

A:

Lynn, The introductory class is a single class and take two hours to complete. You will then receive three passes that can be used any time for the whole day if you wish.

Q:

I just purchased the $79 package, and was wondering if it included the family introductory class as it says on the description of the deal? It says that it includes that class, plus 3 passes for each person and 3 equipment rentals for each person. The email confirmation I received says that it just includes the passes.

Holly W.  asked on  Feb 1, 2013

A:

Yes the class is included. You will not receive the passes until the completion of the class.

Q:

Can you use the passes for each person in the same visit, or will we have only one person free at a time?

Holly W.  asked on  Feb 1, 2013

A:

Each person will receive the same number of passes. You can then come in together or separate to use your passes. You will become belay certified during the class so for a family you will be responsible for belaying your children and partner and a rock gym 101 for 2 class you will be responsible for belaying for your partner on future visits. Other than scheduled classes we do not have staff available to belay.
