Now that spinach has been deemed a performance-enhancing vegetable, Popeye's future shortstop career hinges on his transition to tofu. Get a sailor's worth of energizing tofu and Asian specialties with today's deal: For $12, you get $25 of Southeast Asian fare at Keo Asian Cuisine in the Center 1 shopping center. This Groupon is not valid toward alcohol, and is for dine-in only.

Keo, which serves the superbest dishes of Southeast Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia), offers both lunch and dinner menus that read like the guest list at an international mixer. Kick things off with steamed mussels ($10) or a sampling of many-legged sea critters, the fried calamari ($10). Lunch specialties include the bell-pepper-enhanced Keo house stir fry (with tofu, chicken, or beef, $8) and the Thai green curry ($9); nightfall drops entrees including a 14-ounce rib-eye steak with wasabi marinade sauce ($24) and seafood stir fry, which dresses shrimp, tuna, calamari, and mussels in a sweet chili sauce ($16), assuaging their fears that they would once again be done up in all denim. Co-owner and head chef Zahidah Hyman cherishes fresh, healthy dining, and she ensures that each of Keo's dishes is chock full of made-to-order morsels of nutritional pan-Asian sustenance.

Within Keo's boxy white modernist exterior, a classy dining room offers diners an ideal spot for marriage proposals, divorce proposals, and admissions of twinning. Light trickling through walls of windows and collecting in the high ceilings illuminates the path for your jaunt through an expertly synthesized culinary Asia. Reservations, like wearing chain mail while wrestling a bear, are highly recommended but not required.

Keo Asian Cuisine

Long before Keo opened its doors in 2007, owners Bill & Zahidah Hyman recognized a growing trend toward healthy dining. This, combined with America's affinity for Asian flavors, spawned Keo Asian Cuisine. Fusing traditional wok cooking from Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia, skilled chefs flame-kiss tuna, yellowfin, and quail for burgers and noodle dishes before adding inventive garnishes of lemongrass and sweet oyster vinegar. Under hanging lights with Saturn-style rings, patrons can toss back a specialty cocktail on the rocks, but for the sake of the floor-to-ceiling windows, are discouraged from tossing actual rocks.
