The Boston Globe dubbed Keon's a destination for "connoisseurs of cool places," and diners seem to agree. The menu features upscale tapas and steak-house-style entrees with unexpected culinary flourishes. Take the baked haddock, for example—seasoned with butter crumbs and served with charred cherry tomatoes over a butternut squash risotto. The same commitment to detail is evident in the cider-glazed pork chops, as well as the Keon's Black Angus burger with a caramelized mushroom demi-glace. On the tapas side, chefs fill browned wonton skins with housemade Korean pork, and prepare lamb lollipop chops that are even harder to say after you've devoured three at once.
Keon's upscale food is balanced by a quaint, casual atmosphere. A muted TV above the bar lets diners keep up with their favorite team, but rightly allows the clinking glasses and conversations to score the meal.
