What You'll Get
If grapes could talk, they'd recount their dreams, the first time they got plucked, and the first time they felt victimized by nature's rumor mill—the vine. Taste the tales of the grape with today's Groupon: for $15, you get a wine tasting for two (a $10 value), a charcuterie and cheese plate for two (a $15 value), and souvenir wineglasses for two (a $10 value), plus 20% off purchases, at Kestrel Vintners. Choose from the following locations: Leavenworth, Prosser, or Woodinville.
Kestrel Vintners' two 80-acre vineyard sites cull wines from a collection of dark, rich reds and crisp, fruity whites—all created and housed within its winery ziggurat. Inside the tasting rooms, guests sip on an evolving selection of samplings that may include the 2007 sangiovese—juxtaposing dark, berry flavors with rich leather and cedar—or the bright and citrusy 2009 Falcon Series sauvignon blanc. Each drinkable arrives with a charcuterie plate as a dance partner, featuring a selection of cheese and cured meats arranged to resemble Italy's boot kicking a giant meatball. Two souvenir glasses commemorate the grape-fueled adventure, and visitors can take home any wine for 20% off.
