- $89 for registration for one team of two kids for the Kids Adventure Games on August 1 ($150 value)
During the Kids Adventure Games, teams of two kids ages 6–14 tackle numerous physical obstacles and problem-solving challenges, such as a climbing wall, mud pit, and zipline. The obstacles vary at each location, and kids won’t find out what the course looks like until the day of the games. Following the race, participants can enjoy snacks and refreshments at the awards party. Read the FAQs here to see what each child should bring the day of the challenge.
Kids Adventure Games
Unlike a regular obstacle-course race, it's impossible to train for the Kids Adventure Games. It's not that the kids' obstacle race is more challenging—it's that the racecourse itself is a complete surprise. Its exact layout is only unveiled at the starting line, where each two-kid team receives a map. They then follow this map over roughly three miles of sometimes swampy terrain, traveling by foot, bike, and, occasionally, zipline, which eliminates the need to saddle up a flying squirrel.
Adults supervise each flight, and the rest of the racecourse, too, watching over youngsters and helping them whenever they need it. Though the exact obstacles are unknown until race day, kids can expect to be wet, muddy, and smiling when they cross the finish line.
