Ramona Quimby is one of children's author Beverly Cleary's most enduring characters -- an intelligent, curious and energetic young girl who was the subject of eight of Cleary's novels between 1955 and 1999. In Ramona Quimby, Age 8, a play based on Cleary's children's novel of the same name, we follow Ramona as she starts the third grade at a new school. With her sister, Beezus, entering junior high and her father going back to college, Ramona has to take on more responsibility at home while contending with a new teacher who she fears may not like her. This play at Golden Rule Services in Pearland runs 90 minutes, with a 20-minute intermission and features a cast of child and adult actors.
