What You'll Get
Playtime gives children a welcome respite from the daily grind of selling life insurance to their action figures. Help your little nine-to-fivers let their hair down with today’s Groupon for admission to Kidsville Playtown in Carlsbad. Choose between the following options:
- For $20, you get a five-pass punch card for open play (up to a $50 value). Parents and kids aged 11 and older receive free admission.
- For $25, you get two one-day admissions to Winter Camp, valid December 19–23 and December 26–30 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (up to a $60 value). This Groupon can be redeemed for two children on the same day or two admissions for one child on different days.
Open-play hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Kidsville Playtown churns the gears of children’s imaginations with an expansive play area and a calendar of events tailored for aged 11 and younger. The five-pass punch card grants access to the facility’s miniature city, where youngsters can zip between various playhouses and structures, including two slides, Dinosaur Mountain, and a theater with dress-up costumes and Shakespeare’s rejected drafts of As You Like It. Especially tiny tots aged 2 and younger can crawl their way through padded tunnels and build with soft blocks in the separate Babiesville area. Parents can monitor play from the center area while lounging on a couch, watching TV, or conducting experiments on WiFi wavelengths with their laptop’s slide rule.
To help to keep brains whirring and hands busy during school breaks, instructors at the Winter Camp guide kiddies through various crafts and games, which reward children with prizes instead of carrots whittled to resemble candy canes.
