About Killmeyer's Old Bavaria Inn
Visiting Killmeyer's Old Bavaria Inn means joining decades and decades of tradition. Nicholas Killmeyer purchased the building in 1855 and established it as a restaurant just a handful of years later. It's cycled through a few monikers since then, but it's continued to draw local crowds with its German cuisine, live entertainment, and beer garden, which pairs imported German brews with sunshine and camaraderie. Hearty entrees include wiener schnitzel, paprika-rich beef goulash, and Atlantic salmon pan-roasted with shallots and finished with butter and weissbier. Snacks, meanwhile, range from warm pretzels to escargot, and the exhaustive beer list has frothy favorites for practically any palate.
