What You'll Get
When it comes to clairvoyant pastries, breaking apart a fortune cookie is much more dignified than digging through a jelly donut in search of a mini Magic 8-Ball. Find flavor fortunes with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of Chinese and Japanese cuisine and drinks at Kip's Cafe.
Kip's Cafe owner Chef Wing keeps his hefty menu varied with a plethora of Chinese, Japanese, and other Asian flavors. Begin taste bud walkabouts through the East with eight crab puffs ($6.95). Kip's Cafe's massive sushi menu blasts rice-rolled cravings with selections such as the spicy crab roll ($4.50) or the deluxe Dragon roll, tempura shrimp topped with eel and avocado ($10.50). To dine on continental delights, try the Chinese menu's garlic chili chicken, a signature dish of breaded boneless chicken in a spicy sauce with chili pepper, green pepper, onion, and carrot, served with steamed rice ($10.75), or the chef's recommended steamed sea bass in black-bean sauce, served with steamed rice ($13.50).
A full bar, extensive wine list, and six draft beers make the number of dinnertime pairings impossible to calculate when combined with Kip's Cafe's wide variety of soups, noodles, rice bowls, vegetable dishes, bento boxes, and pi.
- The food is consistently good and I appreciate that the menu has both Chinese and Japanese food. – Sarah S., Yelp, 2/15/11
