What You'll Get
All over the United States, the debate persists over whether carbonated beverages should be called "soda," "pop," or "the artist formerly known as Prince." Resolve geographic differences with today's Groupon: for $5, you get admission for two and 12 drink tickets to the Midwest Soda Pop Festival (a $16 value). The festival takes place on Saturday, June 25 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Klassic Arcade in Gobles.
The first annual Midwest Soda Pop Festival will pump all guests full of effervescent nectar amid old-school arcade games and carnival amusements. Celebrants can choose from two full coolers of glass-encased fizziness crafted by artisans from such establishments as Dang, Goose Island, Nesbitt's, Virgil's, and Avery's, while exalted judges rule on the most artfully carbonated brew. Live music from rockabilly outfit The Wild Woodys complements sugar rushes as attendees unleash themselves in the inflatable bouncing house, express themselves via face painting, or lead to immediately regrettable pushup contests. Food vendors will provide palate cleansers to nourish famished festival-goers between tongue stimulation and classic video-game jaunts. Children under 5 enter free and rarely understand Kojak references.

About Klassic Arcade
Multiple rows of pinball machines manufactured from the early 1960s through today shelter plungers and flippers as they fling the silver spheres toward illumined targets. Entertaining guests between bouts of pinball, air hockey, and abundant arcade classics—such as Centipede, Ms. Pac-Man, and Asteroids —await with flashing lights infused with friendly competition. Klassic Arcade celebrates its impressive stock of more than 100 different varieties of glass-bottled soda pop during its annual Midwest Soda Pop Festival, which combines pop tastings and judging with live music and games. The arcade also spearheads the annual Pinball at the 'Zoo festival, at which attendees can play more than 100 arcade and pinball games for free in between tournaments, auctions, and seminars with the original 8-bit Mario and Luigi. Completing the lineup of exciting diversions is the outdoor M-40 Raceway track, which hosts off-road RC racers.
