Prices are a bit high for the cramped dining area and ambiance. I only go there with a Groupon or other deal. If they had a half price sushi "happy hour" from 5-6:30, I'd go there more often. But I go to Rice or Mt Fuji instead.

It's truly a neighborhood place, where the owner knows you or gets to know you and makes it an inviting and welcoming space. The staff is attentive, and the sushi is so awesome!!! My family is so picky about sushi, and so this is our only go to place. Sit at the bar, if you can. That's where the owner and sushi chefs will talk the most about the specialized fish and amazing flavor combinations. It's like family there!!

great place.

Eating with chopsticks requires a certain level of dexterity, like beating a difficult video game or spitefully disassembling a too-difficult video game. Conquer your hunger with this Groupon.

About Kobe Cho Sushi

Although Kobe Cho Sushi earned a feature on Man v. Food with its incendiary Hell Fire roll filled with tuna and jalapeño, the chefs can also dial down the heat and showcase the delicate flavors of fresh fish and produce. The menu stems from the mind of head chef and new owner Mike Fukumitsu, whose 13 years of sushi-making wisdom has been honed during numerous training stints in Japan. As an example of his dedication to high-quality ingredients, he seeks out Wagyu kobe beef for some of his premium sashimi and sushi creations.

A few tables line the pastel-orange walls, but a large number of seats also surround the sushi bar, allowing guests to watch as the chefs slice, layer, and roll orders with the confidence of an encyclopedia salesman at a trivia competition.
