Gorgeous cafe! Clearly a outfitted house, very easy to spot with its beautiful yellow exterior. We arrived just as they opened and they were very welcoming and helpful. They asked if it was our first time so it clearly is a community coffee shop. The green white coffee was amazing, and the omelette and pancake platters were especially large servings for a good price. Highly recommended. Definitely worth a visit!

If the times I have been there, the food has always been tasty and the staff has always been quite pleasant. It is a great little lunchtime getaway, especially if you work downtown.

About This Deal

Ever since America lost custody of tea in its messy divorce with England, we've had to find new liquid sources of caffeine and new neighborhood taxmen. Say no to taxation without caffeination with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of eats, treats, and drinks at Koinonia Coffee House, located on South Adams Street. Koinonia Coffee House serves up a menu of coffee, muffins, sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and more, while providing the community with a diversity-embracing meeting place. Relax inside this culturally rich coffee hangout or stop by to energize with a cup of espresso before a self-financed moon shuttle launch.

Carpe Jackson featured Koinonia Coffee House:

  • Inside, it is charming and pleasant, and is exactly the kind of coffee house I always looked for as a student: quiet, well-lit, and with plenty of comfortable places to study. There were two larger rooms with tables, but I preferred a side room that felt like a well-decorated living room and included this cute nook. – Yar
