What You'll Get
Unlike having bicycles, apartments, and guard dogs, having many small plates can be just as effective as one big one. Enjoy a herd of dinnerware with today's Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of southwestern fare and drinks at Kokopelli Restaurant & Tequila Bar.
Kokopelli Restaurant & Tequila Bar's stomach-sating chefs bring southwestern zing to every dish within a cozy, small-plate eatery. Meant to snack on and share, the menu plates up flavorful edibles, including the herd of bison sliders with manchego cheese and a spicy pickle, corralled by a shallot-ring lasso ($8), and the barbecue baby ribs with apple-jicama slaw ($11). Herbivores and confused lions will enjoy the spring-mix salad, which unleashes the heat of summer with a dash of chayote, chili-lime manchego vinaigrette, and a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds ($5). Mouths water at the sight of Kokopelli's seafood fare, making it a perfect habitat for ahi-tuna crudo lounging atop a tortilla with garlic-avocado crema ($10).
With more than 60 tequila varieties, Kokopelli's bar splashes together luxury libations and tequila flights ($11–$83) to sate thirsty throats. Sip on a cocktail, such as the Herraura Reposado sangrita ($12), which mixes tomato juice, hot sauce, fresh lime, and agave nectar. Dinner crowds fluoresce in Kokopelli's ever-changing mood lighting, which illuminates the corners best for intimate dining and those best for practicing bar-stool gymnastics.
