Kornbluh Design - Mission Arts Building: Three-Hour Group Glassblowing Class or Three-Hour Private Glassblowing Class for Four at Kornbluh Design (Up to 55% Off)

Glass can be exquisite in its myriad forms, from the ornate windows of a Gothic cathedral to the crystalline webbing of a freshly vandalized windshield. Reflect on beauty with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $59 for a three-hour small-group (4–6 people) glassblowing class (a $120 value)
  • $325 for a three-hour private glassblowing class for four (a $720 value)<p>

During each course, nationally lauded glass artist Marc Kornbluh delves into the history of glass as well as its physics and chemistry. He then outfits students with the knowledge and skills they’ll need to create blown-glass pieces such as beads and marbles. Glass and materials are included. Classes are available weekday evenings and weekend afternoons; schedule one here.

Lincoln Hot Glass

Marc Kornbluh knows glass. The Tisch School of the Arts graduate and renowned artist has learned to manipulate the medium until it takes on the form of just about any shape, whether it’s a cluster of flowers, a spiky fish, or a seashell perched on a smooth orb. In his humble downtown studio space, Kornbluh and his fellow instructors expertly wield torches as they melts glass into submission, creating stunning pieces that pop in craft fairs, gallery shows, and elegant doghouse foyers across the country.
