About Kung Fu Tea

Three friends with a shared passion for bubble tea, and a Queens shop selling a subpar version of their favorite childhood drink. It didn't take much to convince Michael, Allen, and Ray that they should start their own bubble-tea company when they met up in Flushing in 2009. But it wasn't until they brought on board a master—their friend Sean, who was already in the milk-tea business in Taiwan—that their plans really took off.

Adhering to some of the basic tenets of kung fu such as discipline and perseverance, the entrepreneurs began testing. They invented recipes using thousands of different tea leaves and myriad mixes of milk and yogurt, before deciding on a winner and opening up their flagship store.

Now, with locations across the country and growing around the globe, Kung Fu Tea continues to put forth patience and energy, offering consistent quality and flavor with each of its sweet drinks, right down to the delightfully chewy tapioca pearls that customers love.
