Q:

thanks so much -one last question, do you think that erbium is usually best of all treatment options for the acne scaring?

Robin r.  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

Not knowing your daughter specifically, I would suggest going off of the dermatologist's recommendation to use the erbium to treat her scars. Also, you can call the office on Monday and make an appointment for a consultation, prior to treatment, to answer all of your questions.

Q:

thanks so much for the answer--do you think I should purchase one or two treatments? If you recommend two what happens if we dont use both?

Robin r.  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

If she has scarring, I would recommend 2 treatments. Se will definitely use them both. If for some reason she does not, we can discuss other options at that time.

Q:

Sorry, this is a second part question to my first question The derm office recommended erbium for my daughter acne scars on her cheeks. They are not too bad but they said do not get Fraxel. Can this Groupon be used for erbium only, if chosen?

Robin r.  asked on  Nov 23, 2012

A:

Yes, we can accommodate her needs by using just erbium to treat her acne scars.

Q:

Can you combine this deal and get the erbium laser treatment at the time? At what additional cost? I tried to call the office but I got the answering machine. I have had this done before at your office and when I didn't get the erbium laser combination my results were minimal compared to my second treatment with it. I am sure the office will be not be open before this deal ends and need this information before I make the purchase. Thank you!

Stacy F.  asked on  Nov 21, 2012

A:

Stacy, I apologize that you missed us at the office. We will be closed until Monday. If you would like to have the erbium laser in conjunction with the CO2, we would be happy to do that for you at no additional charge. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Q:

I just had 3 IPL's. I am very happy with my results. It did get rid of years of sun spots (damage). However, my forehead still has some lines. I do not want to use botox. Do you think this Fraxel would help?

Kristin K.  asked on  Nov 21, 2012

A:

Yes, this laser treatment will definitely help improve your forehead lines. It will also continue to improve any remaining sun damage.

Q:

CAN YOU GET RID OF LINES AROUND EYES NOT EXTRA SKIN?

virginia p.  asked on  Nov 21, 2012

A:

Yes, the laser is meant to reduce lines around the eyes. Depending on the extent of your lines, you may need more than one treatment, but you will definitely see improvement with one treatment.

Q:

CAN LOWER AND UPER EYE LIDS BE DONE INSTEAD OF EYE SURGERY?ALSO ARE YOU AWAKE AND IS IT PAINFUL?THANK'S VIRGINIA

virginia p.  asked on  Nov 21, 2012

A:

The laser is meant to reduce fine lines and sun damage but does not replace actual surgery. Removing excess skin can only be done through surgical technique under anesthesia. You are completely awake during the laser procedure and we apply a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort.

Q:

What are the risks with this procedure? Lili

Lilia L.  asked on  Nov 20, 2012

A:

There are not really any risks associated with the procedure. You may experience longer than usual healing time depending upon your skin type.

Q:

What are the expected side effects after the treatment ? What does your face look like realistically immediately after treatment and for the couple days it takes to heal (i.e. red, bruised, brown marks, etc) and do you have to wear any bandages? Do you have to protect your face from the elements for a period of time, if so for how long?

Lilia L.  asked on  Nov 20, 2012

A:

Immediately following treatment you will experience redness similar to a sunburn. Within a few days the redness will decrease and you will begin to experience peeling of the treated areas. You do not have to wear any bandages. We do recommend treating the area with Silver Gel for a few days after the treatment to keep the area moisturized and healing properly. We always recommend wearing sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun. Otherwise, nothing special is required.
