Cannot recommend this class emphatically enough. Mr. Patton is super warm and engaging, making you feel immediately comfortable. He’s eager for your questions, answering them through realistic hypotheticals that meaningfully flesh out the extensive grey areas of topics as much as possible. At the range, after we completed the requisite tasks needed for the certification, he then put us through drills specific to our observed areas of opportunity—the person to my right had half his target taped off to represent a threat partially obscured, while I was walked through several grip changes that immediately corrected my tendency to pull toward the left. You’d be hard pressed to find someone that can make an 8-hour class on rules and safety more enjoyable than this instructor.

My fiance and I took the class not to long ago. Lamont's a great teacher, it was a great experience and I recommend it anyone thinking about getting their cpl.
