Vintage Ferraris ran on a high-octane fuel mixture of tomato sauce and mustache hair, which made them run forever but left ladybug-luring leaks in driveways. Power your body motor without having to share with today’s Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of Italian dishes and drinks at La Bistecca Italian Grille, a romantic eatery in Plymouth.
La Bistecca is among the country's first restaurants to prepare exclusively certified Piedmontese beef, a flavorful and tender meat that's naturally lean, allowing patrons to indulge in a more healthful steak without sacrificing a rich, buttery texture. With a dinner menu focusing on decadently dressed beef, seafood, and lamb-chop plates, executive chef Joe Arella summons flavors to the table like a snake charmer in a reptile boutique. All of La Bistecca's steaks come drizzled in the house's vintage sauce alongside a house salad, potatoes, and a veggie; try the juicy center-cut tenderloin of beef ($29 for six ounces, $34 for eight ounces, $38 for 10 ounces) or dig your spurs into a whopping 24-ounce ribeye ($53). Other dinner dishes include the costola corta di manzo ($24), beef short rib braised with natural reduction and sided with Parmesan-toasted gnocchi, and the house-made gnocchi with lump crab meat, mascarpone cream sauce, prosciutto, and peas ($27). La Bistecca also offers a lunch menu attuned to impressing business clients and other daywalkers.
A wine list featuring old- and new-world pours includes selections sourced from Australia, France, Spain, and Michigan, in addition to Italian-based bottles. La Bistecca's adorable ambiance (white-clothed tables topped with demure fresh-flower-filled vases, seductively draped windows, and live piano music) helps to fancify typical occasions, like Tuesday-night hunger.

La Bistecca Italian Grille
Owner Jerry Costanza and his culinary crew create Northern Italy–styled dishes, including seasonal recipes. Their extensive wine list features vinos from Italy's major wine regions, along with organic and vintage-tiered selections from everywhere from Australia to Michigan. The staff pours these to complement the eatery's signature USDA–certified Piedmontese beef dishes, the lean, juicy, tender meat of which comes from cattle that originated in the foothills of the Italian Alps—also where Ducatis graze until they become Ferraris. Along with beef dishes, the chefs dish up sautéed shrimp, grilled sea bass, and italian truffle mac 'n' cheese.
