La Bona Pasta
Though its pasta is plentiful, La Bona Pasta has much more than one culinary trick up its sleeve. Chef Humberto, a 30-year restaurant veteran, has created a menu teeming with not only pasta dishes—more than a dozen specialty dishes in all, with seven pasta styles from which to choose—but also succulent veal, chicken, and seafood dishes. Scampi in champagne sauce is one such standout: big, juicy shrimp swim in a velvety porcini mushroom cream sauce surrounded by pasta and a medley of fresh vegetables. In the open kitchen, chefs craft their selections to order and whisper sweet nothings to bubbling marinara in full view of the dining room as diners savor one of the restaurant's two dozen varieties of wine.
