- $13 for $20 worth of tacos, tortas, and huaraches
La Chilangueada's menu is centered around the house specialty, huaraches, a thick masa tortilla that resembles a sandal with its oblong shape. The street-food dish is popular in Mexico City and is similar to a sope, though it has a different shape.
Visitors to La Chilangueada choose from more than a dozen different kinds of huaraches crowned with steak, sausage, or pork, or for vegetarians, huitlacoche or zucchini flowers. The menu also includes other Mexican staples such as chicken mole guisados, tripe quesadillas, and ham tortas.
