Unlike a trip to the moon, a trip to the day spa is a handy way to escape the atmosphere of everyday life without the strain of suborbital flight and super-orbital noogies. Fly away to fresh feelings with today's Groupon: for $49, you get your choice of a 60-minute facial or a massage at La Choza Day Spa (up to a $99 value). This Groupon is good for any hour-long facial or hour-long massage, with the exception of the prenatal massage.
La Choza's facial treatments span the spectrum of epidermal desires, with such options as hydrating facials, vitamin-C brightening facials, and rejuvenating collagen facials. Equally as eclectic in selection, La Choza's massage treatments implement indulgent accessories such as warm bamboo rods, aromatic white chocolate lava stones, and heated holistic helpings of organic lavender and herbs. All sessions take place in the soothing reaches of La Choza Day Spa's serene structure, which, at night, transforms into an oversized infant that tickles itself with clouds.
Because each creative and careful treatment comes infused with one or more distinct perks and pleasures, you may feel your face already feuding with your latissimus dorsi. Simply relax, breath calmly, and know that no matter which treatment you select, your brain will twitch thank you pulses to all anterior and posterior pals. Call ahead to make an appointment.

La Choza Day Spa
After working at other beauty establishments, a licensed massage therapist, and esthetician Angelica Carr wanted to create a space where she could both pamper her guests and pay homage to her Mexican heritage, along with her daughter Kirstin McCoy, also a licensed Massage therapist and esthetician. She has accomplished both of those goals at La Choza Day Spa. As she told KRON 4 in 2009, La Choza—which translates to "the little hut"—is meant to recreate the ambience of a cozy, south-of-the-border village. In the reception area, red Spanish-tile accents and paintings of cacti and beachside scenes promote an atmosphere of rustic tranquility. La Choza Day Spa offers skin care services ranging from LED to Vitamin C Facials.
Besides offering facials, massages, nail services, and body treatments individually, Carr and her team bundle them into spa packages; for example, the romance package for two includes spa pedicures and candlelit side-by-side massages on rose-petal-dappled treatment beds. And there are treatments for all ages here—together with her daughter, Carr designed a menu of teen services specifically designed to combat issues such as stress or acne caused by thinking about algebra too much.
