What You'll Get
Join the LA Opera for three performances from its 2016 fall program, where you'll see the tales of a Japanese wife betrayed by the husband she loves, a quest to free a trapped princess using enchanted musical instruments, and the experiences of happy-go-lucky artists struggling to survive on the streets of Paris. The LA Opera brings these stories of high drama and high culture to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in their productions of Mozart's The Magic Flute and Puccini's Madame Butterfly and La Boheme. Under the stewardship of visionary general director Placido Domingo, these productions stay true to the classic tales' origins while opening themselves up to new audiences with fresh production design and projected English translations of the original Italian lyrics.
