Romance, heartbreak, family drama and Nihilism combine in Brian Friel's Fathers and Sons. An adaptation of Ivan Turgenev's Russian literary masterpiece, the drama follows two friends home from college -- one the son of a wealthy landowner and the other a charismatic radical. The two find themselves in an inevitable clash of conflicting ideologies. However, things get even more complicated when a mysterious woman comes in between them. Starring Alfred Molina (Chocolat), Jane Kaczmarek (Malcom in the Middle) and more, Father and Sons displays the philosophical schisms between older and younger generations. This production from L.A. Theatre Works is recorded live for later broadcast on national, public and satellite radio.
