Q&A with Summer Davis, Manager and Tour Guide
I'm a first-timer. How do you get me ready for the experience?
Come ready to explore, meet new people, and learn about neighborhood hidden gems. Our tours are sustainability- focused walking tours, and occasionally, we jump on the Metro bus or rail. Since we spend time outside, dressing for the weather is a good idea, whether that means sun hats and sunscreen or rain boots and umbrellas.
As the old adage says, "Stuff happens." What training do you and your staff have to stay ahead of the unexpected?
We have a 24-hour emergency phone line for operations and/or safety issues.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Discovering new places and meeting the "real" people of LA.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
For our Sips of Old Hollywood tour, children are not allowed, and those planning to participate in drink tastings must bring an ID.
