Lago D'Argento Pizzeria
If a "specialty" pizza is one that ventures beyond the standard cheese and pepperoni, well, Lago D'Argento pretty much has the concept down pat. The neighborhood pizzeria organizes its pies into three categories—red, white, and specialty—the latter of which contains such combinations as roasted duck with mushrooms, and figs with gorgonzola. Such inventive creations anchor a menu that also includes shared plates, pastas, and Italian pastries, plus handcrafted cocktails and draft beers. Just like with its food, Lago D'Argento doesn't stick to the norm when it comes to decor, either. Inside, cherry-red banquettes stand out against black walls, which are covered in chalkboard-style imagery—even on the ceiling.
