Every few months, grapes shed their skins, exposing their soft, alcohol-oozing underbelly. Taste the fruit-bellies with today's Groupon: for $39, you get a two-person wine tasting (up to a $30 value), two wine glasses (a $20 value), and two bottles of wine (a $50 value) at Laguna Canyon Winery. This Groupon is valid at either of the winery’s two locations on Laguna Canyon Road and Glenneyre Street.

The boutique-style Laguna Canyon Winery sources its handpicked grapes from low-yield vineyards in Napa and Sonoma Valley, and crushes, ferments, and ages them on-site. Choose ten of the vineyard's 16 wines for the tantalizing tasting on weekends, or choose 15 tastings on weekdays and receive reduced prices on additional bottles to unwind after sumo wrestling a DMV employee. After sampling their wine, the winery will bequeath two bottles unto your outstretched arms for continued sipping at home. The Sonoma Valley cabernet sauvignon tangos with the flavor of red berries and spices, and the ’08 Napa Valley chardonnay encourages apple, pear, and vanilla notes to waft over tongues like a gravity-defying whistle. Furthermore, Groupon-holders can imbibe the winery's quaffable delights from two keepable, logoed crystal wine glasses. A portion of the sales of Laguna Canyon Winery's Wyland Cellars wines go to the Wyland Foundation.

Laguna Canyon Winery

Having grown up on a ranch in central Canada, Marlowe Huber already knew about crop harvesting and soil when he began making wine in the early 1980s. He refined his skills still further by studying oenology in Vancouver before embarking on his first wine-business venture with his brother, Darren. Together they ran two wineries in British Columbia for 15 years before opening Laguna Canyon Winery in 2003. Today, staffers pour out a diverse selection of Laguna Canyon wines in the Barrel Tasting Room.
