It's the last exam on the last day of high school, and all basketball star Joe wants to do is sleep with his cheerleader girlfriend Hannah. But oops -- he passes a vulgar, poorly written note to her and his teacher Miss Edwards intercepts it. Thus begins Sex and Education, a funny, spirited, sitcom of a play now at the Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach. Miss Edwards keeps Joe after class, forces him to a humiliating close read of the note and, worse yet, insists that he rewrite it as a persuasive, grammatically correct essay about why Hannah should sleep with him. In this hilarious homage to educators everywhere, Miss Edwards uses the note to teach Joe a lesson on life, love and the power of words.
