Ice skates let humans reach new levels of speed on land, just as wings let ducks reach new levels of love in hug o’ wars. Swoop into the skating rink with today’s Groupon to Lake Forest Ice Palace. Choose between the following options:

  • For $12, you get admission and skate rental for two (a $24 value).
  • For $60, you get an 8-week ice-skating class for an individual (a $125 value).

At Lake Forest Ice Palace, aspiring ice skaters can learn the ropes or hone their gliding skills during public-skate hours and 8-week skating classes. After renting skates, duos attending public skates can skim the ice at their own pace or pick up basics moves, such as inching tentatively along the wall, during complimentary 15-minute skating tutorials.

Alternatively, patrons can opt for an 8-week skating class at beginner or novice level. Instructors impart their polar knowledge for 30 minutes each week, and students receive free admission and skate rental on lesson days along with two public-skate passes. If students miss a session due to a short-lived fear of figure eights, they can schedule a make-up as long as it still falls within the class’s 8-week scope.

Lake Forest Ice Palace and Aliso Viejo Ice Palace

The pristine sheets of ice at Ice Palace’s outposts in Lake Forest and Aliso Viejo serve as well-kept tundras ideal for diversions such as hockey, figure-skating, and public-skating sessions. Future NHL stars and misinformed basketball players can both sharpen their stick-handling skills in the facilities' Learn to Play Hockey programs, whereas Learn to Figure Skate sessions teach beginners everything from forward and backward moves to entry-level jumps and spins. Held throughout the week at both locations, open-skating sessions allow the general public to let loose as couples slip on their skates, hold hands, and fearlessly tie each other's laces.

Customer Reviews

people there are very helpful and nice. My daughter loves it there and will go back in the future.

It was great having the orange buckets on the ice for the beginners. The buckets helped tremendously in giving my daughter the confidence to be on the ice. After an hour, she passed it on to another beginner to give them a chance to have fun on the ice.
