This is truly a Magical Night for our family. We started the tradition when our Grandson was born 3 yrs ago This year we did miss the snow and the tubing for the kids. Please bring it back next year. The carnival was okay, but nothing says Christmas like snow.
  • Massive light display
  • Runs nightly
  • All-ages appropriate
  • Family fun from the car

Spooky is the most neglected of the five basic human emotions: spooky, joy, sorrow, grouchy, and wet. Get horror glands pumping with today’s Groupon: for $12, you get admission to Lake Lanier Islands Resort's Haunted Nights of Lights (a $25 value Friday through Sunday, $20 on weekdays).

Known for its Christmas-themed Magical Nights of Lights show, Lake Lanier Islands Resort celebrates another season with LEDs on a Halloween-themed driving tour through the streets of the resort. The enchanted three-mile-long drive, which is navigated from the safety of your own vehicle, is lined with twinkling displays of incandescence, such as a sparkling patch of smiling pumpkins, flying phosphorescent witches, glittery Frankensteins, and eerily glowing famous postmaster generals.

Although this deal only includes the driving tour, families looking to extend the evening can purchase tickets to the other haunted attractions such as a haunted maze, a carnival, and a marshmallow roast. The event runs every night in October from 7 to 11 p.m., and prices are good for cars holding up to nine people or five people and three farm animals less than 300 inches in girth.

Reviews

Although traditional reviews for the Lake Lanier Haunted Nights of Lights are still growing, local press, including Associated Content and Hall County Magazine, have featured the attraction.

  • This October, Hall County Magazine recommends you brave the dark, pile all of your favorite ghouls and boys in the family car, and head to Lake Lanier Islands Resort for a night so fun, it’s SCARY! – Kasie Bolling, Hall County Magazine
