What You'll Get
Famed as the "Dust Bowl Troubadour," folk artist Woody Guthrie paid tribute to the downtrodden throughout the Great Depression with his simple, heartfelt songs and stories, which are now firmly woven into the fabric of our country. The stirring musical American Song brings those stories to life as it follows Guthrie on his ramble from California to the New York Islands, and features more than two dozen of his most famous tunes, including "Bound for Glory," "900 Miles" and "This Land Is Your Land." San Diego's Intrepid Theatre Company stages this production at the Horton Grand.
Run time is 2 hours and 15 minutes including one intermission.
