What You'll Get
Although no one can explain why, most people agree that beer and pizza go together like a melodious string of shooby-dooby-do-bop-a-doobity-dang-a-dooby. Dine on doo-wop-inspiring fare with today's Groupon to Lamppost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery in Irvine.
For $19, you get a meal for two (up to a $39.66 total value) that includes the following:
- One large 16-inch specialty pizza (a $30.16 value)
- Two pints of house brew (a $9.50 value)
For $10, you get $20 worth of anything on the menu. Single entrees range from $5.99–$11.99.
At Lamppost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery, hand-tossed pizzas pair with brews handcrafted on site. Circular entrees include the garlic-chicken pizza or the Linebacker pizza, which inundates the palate with mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, canadian bacon, bacon, ground beef, sausage, and complex tackling terminology. Pies pair nicely with an ale, lager, or stout from the rotating list of beers fermented in the Backstreet Brewery, served in a pint at the gleaming wooden bar or in a streaming torrent from the massive metal tank outside.

About Lamppost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery
Satisfying meals and handcrafted beer intersect with premium sports viewing at Lamppost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery, founded in 1976 by Angelo Barro and his sons, Dan and Tom. Today, the franchise welcomes patrons to 37 locations in three states, and the philosophy remains the same at all of them. Seven big-screen TVs broadcast football, basketball, and baseball games from around the leagues to entertain patrons sipping small-batch draft beers brewed onsite. Fans munch on traditional sports-viewing snacks, such as jalapeño poppers, potato skins, and buffalo wings. Chefs also prepare heartier entrees including garlic-chicken pasta, Pesto Supreme pizzas covered with artichoke hearts, and The Linebacker, a pizza loaded with pepperoni, salami, ground beef, sausage, and two types of bacon.
