What You'll Get
Choosing pizza toppings is a lot like being married: if there is an irreconcilable disagreement, both parties take half. Grab a piece of the pie with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of pizza and handcrafted ales and lagers at Lamppost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery, redeemable at locations on Culver Drive in Irvine or on Crown Valley Parkway in Ladera Ranch.
At Lamppost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery, cuisine creators soothe cantankerous bellies with the slew of hand-tossed pizzas and Italian fare that fills out an extensive menu. Make a sacrifice to your temple of taste with an appetizer of cheesy, bacony potato skins bolstered by ranch dressing and vegetables (five for $6.99) before moving to a circular entree.
The eight slice garlic-chicken pizza ($19.99) brings hunger pains to a halt, and the Linebacker inundates the palate with mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, canadian bacon, ground beef, sausage, and textbook-tackling form ($19.99). Pair a specialty pie or a sandwich with one of more than 10 drafts at the Backstreet Brewery. Mainstay brews include the Heritage hefeweizen, Jagged Little pilsner, Hep Kat pale ale, and Rita red, leaving six taps open for a rotating selection of flavorful hop-tears.
Six Yahoo! Locals give Lamppost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery a perfect five-star rating. More than 35 Yelpers give the Irvine location an average of three stars. Though reviews are mixed on the food at the Ladera Ranch location, Yelpers recommend the brewery.
- I love the food and pizza here. They are open later than most places in irvine (until like 10 I believe), which is really great. Try their bbq chicken pizza, it is definitely my favorite. – Todd, Yahoo! Local
- The pizza here is pretty good, but the real reason to come is for the beer. Freshly brewed on site with a handful of standbys, along with a number of seasonal brews. – Chris C., Irvine location, Yelp, 10/1/10
- The one thing this place has going for it is the brewery. The brewery has some pretty good beer! – robin k., Ladera Ranch location, Yelp, 7/26/09

About Lamppost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery
Satisfying meals and handcrafted beer intersect with premium sports viewing at Lamppost Pizza and Backstreet Brewery, founded in 1976 by Angelo Barro and his sons, Dan and Tom. Today, the franchise welcomes patrons to 37 locations in three states, and the philosophy remains the same at all of them. Seven big-screen TVs broadcast football, basketball, and baseball games from around the leagues to entertain patrons sipping small-batch draft beers brewed onsite. Fans munch on traditional sports-viewing snacks, such as jalapeño poppers, potato skins, and buffalo wings. Chefs also prepare heartier entrees including garlic-chicken pasta, Pesto Supreme pizzas covered with artichoke hearts, and The Linebacker, a pizza loaded with pepperoni, salami, ground beef, sausage, and two types of bacon.
